Working from home

2020 has probably been the strangest year for most of us as – businesses closing, furloughs and working from home have all been part of the ride as we try to adapt to a new normal.

Here are some top tips from our team on working from home and being productive in 2021:

Kordian said:

Simon Acres said:

  • Make sure you take the time to test your connectivity
  • Spend time learning basic video tools like zoom etc.
  • Have a backup device in case your Wi-Fi fails you

Aiden said:

  • Find things to keep young children entertained if they are not at school
  • Ensure you have activities for them to do in the garden so they also get some air
  • Communicate with anyone else in your house when you have important calls

Henesh said:

  • Set up an area that you can shut down at the end of a day. Working with a laptop on your sofa doesn’t give you separation
  • Make sure you are comfortable
  • Be appreciative of others that are working from home they may not have the same facilities as you

Working from home will now become ever more popular. The important thing is to stay focused and know you have a team of people around you to help. Your colleagues are only a phone call away.
