Opinions From The Bathroom Industry

We felt that it is important to get the opinions from the experts on what it takes to be a designer. Following this, we have spoken with Lewis Morrish of Goodey and Howell, who has worked in the bathroom industry for over 5 years.

Lewis – Goodey and Howell

“If you are thinking of becoming a bathroom designer, I would personally say having knowledge of the industry is non-essential. When I first started nearly 6 years ago, I did not have any experience in the retail industry but this will come in time with the correct help and training, In my opinion customer service is the most important factor to remember throughout the complete design and quotation process, when discussing budgets for the project, whether they are high or low, the service and professional approach must always remain the same.

When speaking with clients, you will need to be confident and motivated to helping with decisions and ideas, as they have come to you for the best advice. Always remember that building trust between yourself the clients takes time. In the end there is no better feeling than seeing the happiness from the clients as the design and quotation you have all constructed, come together in reality to make the perfect space.”
