About the Client

Simon Acres Group LTD are representing a Large Joinery business working across multiple fit out sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business an receive thorough training on building estimates for tenders.

Requirements / Skills:

The role of Estimator Trainee role will involve:

• Training will be given to work on the company tenders which are generally over £1,000,000 per project
• Estimator position dealing with a high end range of bespoke furniture & joinery projects for residential sectors (desks, panelling, furniture, cabinets, surfaces etc.)
• Managing projects from initial enquiry through to final quotation, ensuring accurate and commercially viable pricing
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope, materials, quantities and project requirements
• Producing detailed take-offs, BOQs and quotations within required deadlines
• Estimating material, labour, manufacturing and installation costs
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain costs for specialist materials and outsourced requirements
• Working closely with designers, architects, clients and production teams throughout the estimating process
• Providing technical support, answering client queries and maintaining strong relationships
• Supporting project handovers and monitoring costs through to completion

Requirements / Skills: The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Specialist Joinery & Woodworking with

• Must have Kitchen Design experience, bespoke interior products, furniture market or closely related sectors
• Great technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good team player who also works well individually
