Trade Counter Manager, Greater Manchester

KBBRecruitment are pleased to be working with an independent Plumbers Merchant to find a Trade Counter Manager for their Plumbing and Heating trade counter in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

The focus of the role is to manage the Trade counter in ways that boost revenue and also develop the business. It includes having plenty of plumbing ‘know how’, managing people, developing processes, and improving the shop and its products and service, in line with the overall business growth and also goals. In addition the trade centre supports the Bathroom and Kitchen Showroom and its extensive retail sales and installation business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the lead in offering and developing plumbing knowledge and also expertise for the team/ business / Trade customers
  • Developing relationships and also delivering customer friendly service with a positive approach and response to requirements and issues
  • Building our reputation and Trade customer sales through engaging/networking, providing expertise, service as well as anticipate and also manage issues.
  • Working with the team to grow ‘supply only’ bathroom sales – including trade and showroom sales, including a potential online offering.
  • Organising, managing, and developing all day-to-day counter operations and retail sales
  • Ordering, preparing, organizing, and delivering fixtures and fittings for installation jobs – working closely with designers, installation manager and fitting teams.
  • Monitoring stock levels, purchases and managing costs to maintain competitiveness and maximize profitability.
  • Managing order, delivery and sales administration of Trade and supplier accounts to ensure financial accuracy and resolution of queries and issues
  • Recognize customers’ expectations and liaise with them according to their budget.
  • Represent their company, products as well as also offer solutions.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Plumbing experience and some retail/commercial awareness
  • A positive approach, energy, great customer service and the ability to engage with people
  • The ability to work using their own initiative and be part of a busy team
  • IT literate with a technical mindset
  • A full and preferably clean driving licence.
